When we practice giving we activate the words of Jesus in Acts 20:35 and become more blessed. Most offerings and donations are usually monetary. However, sometimes it can be clothing, furniture, food, or your time and energy that is given to programs within the church that serve the needs of others and the community. Everything we give should be as unto Christ to help fulfill the vision of leadership and to support the building of God’s Kingdom. Every time we bring offerings, donations or volunteer we show our compassion and extend God’s love through us.

Who says you have to give offerings and what should you give? Exodus 12:1-3 “Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 2 Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering. 3 And this [is] the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, and bronze.”

● Which means when you have been blessed by a ministry through the word of God or leadership, and they ask for an offering give it willingly so that God may honor your heart.

How much should you give in offerings and how should you give? II Corinthians 9:7 “[So let] each one [give] as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

● Which means you can give any monetary amount that you choose and/or as often as you desire to give from any of your finances. Just be happy when you give and have no regrets.
